We specialize in a High Tea. We travel to Capital Tea in Bethesda and choose for the occasion from their extensive selection. Scones are always on the menu, served with home made lemon curd and clotted cream. We make plain scones, blueberry scones, cranberry-orange scones and more. Sometimes we make Cappuccino Cream Scones for the desert tray. The first course may be cucumber sandwiches and deviled ham sandwiches and a chicken salad and the dessert course may be a cake of the season, danbury tarts, lemon squares, chocolate tarts and perhaps a cookie, all made in my kitchen with the finest, freshest ingredients, gluten free if requested.
If desired, the garden is available for strolling and sniffing and we do a 20-minute illustrated talk on local history or women in farming.
