Bed and breakfast in a National Register site with complete privacy on thirty acres of gardens, woodlands and pastures. Truly a very special place to stay for a couple, a family or a small group of friends.

Step back in time to a log cabin built in 1768, utterly secluded yet 28 miles from the Nation's Capitol, near Sugarloaf Mountain, the C&O Canal, several golf courses, horseback riding nearby, parks, MARC commuter train and Comus Inn.

Downstairs is a log sitting room with fireplace, bedroom with queen size bed, full bath with antique footed tub and a small kitchen.

Window air conditioning. Sit on the porch in candlelight, listen to the birds and watch the fireflies.Traffic and bustle are somewhere else, too far away to be heard. Light breakfast or optional gourmet breakfast at your convenience from 7 to 10 a.m.

Should the evening grow chill, a fire is laid for your pleasure. Just outside the door, sheep graze, hens cluck, gardens beckon and a trail leads to the farm pond and woods of wildflowers and native medicinals.
Upstairs is a second log sitting room with canopied bed, sleep sofa, a half bath, and
a delightful double bedroom overlooking the garden.

Eat in.....

....or eat out.
When's breakfast? YOUR time! You set the schedule at Pleasant Springs Farm! Breakfast arrives in your cottage, just for you. The menu varies seasonally, but on this day in late August, breakfast is quiche with fresh garden herbs, sausage patties, coffee cake, orange juice, and a bowl of fresh fruit - grapes, cantaloupe, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. The luscious peaches of Peachtree Road are at their peak today and breakfast dessert is, rightly enough, fresh peach cobbler.

An Easter surprise!!
